Tuesday, April 05, 2005 Please go to the My Vocabulary website and learn how you can send us a recording of your poetry that we can play on the air. We have set up a phone number through audioblogger so that you can read into the telephone and have your reading saved as an mp3. Go to the site and learn how. Also, check the site later this week (hopefully Wednesday afternoon) so that you can see a description of this coming Sunday's show.Sunday, April 03, 2005 Thank you*** Updated to say that you can now find information about the radio show on its new blog, My Vocabulary. ***To those of you who tuned in for the first show of My Vocabulary (formerly tentatively known as Talk to the Dead), thanks so much. Thanks also to folks like Gina Myers, Eduardo Corral and Ron Silliman for putting up a link to the show on their blogs. And of course thank you to the poets who "appeared" on the show. I will soon put up some links so readers and listeners can further explore the works of these poets. We know we probably weren't very consistent today as far as the levels are concerned, moving from poetry to music and back again. We hope we didn't break your ears. Please forgive us. We promise to improve. This was, after all, our very first time on the radio. Ever. We hope you enjoyed listening to our Creeley program as much as we enjoyed doing it. It really was great to sit and listen to the poems in the booth as we played them. We hope the experience was just as moving at home. And don't be shy. Please send us your poems for upcoming shows. You can send mp3s to myvocabulary at gmail dot com, or you can read your poems over the phone by following the following instructions: 1. Dial (661) 716-BLOG 2. When it asks for a primary phone number, input (858) IMA-POET 3. When it asks for your pin, input POET. Then follow the instructions. It's really simple. We hope to hear from you soon! |
