Heading East

Well. A week from this Saturday I am heading out to Massachusetts, to Woods Hole, to spend a week at the annual Dibner history of biology seminar. I've never gone to Dibner before, nor have I ever been to Woods Hole or anywhere near it. People seem to love it up there, so I'm eager to see what all the fuss is about. The topic for Dibner this year is Astrobiology. It's a topic I love, and I've had a bit of experience with it. Those of you who know me know that I've followed these Mars-exploring geologists and astrobiologists around for a while now, and that I have worked on a couple projects related to this topic in DC.

Speaking of DC, looks like I'll be there again soon. I will be working for the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Dialogue on Science, Ethics and Religion for two months this summer. I'll be living up in Takoma Park once again (only one of my favorite places in America). So, yeah. It should be a good summer for me. Assuming this quarter ever ends.

Oh. And there's more good news. I've been given a TA appointment for next year. I'll be TAing the lower level US History series here in my home department (Department of History, if you didn't know). Yeah. It's still maximum go in the resulting hogshead. Maximum go all the way, man.
