Has someone been reading Kuhn lately?

Wednesday, July 13, 2005

Wait a minute.

So. What they're saying is that Patrick Stewart is more than 9000 years old? And he's really American? That's crazy talk.

Quoting Red vs Blue today:

"Do we really have to seize destiny? Can't we just invite it to join our online circle of friends?"

Looking for . . .

. . . a contest with a Summer/Fall deadline?

The folks at Nightboat Books have asked me (and I'm sure I'm not alone) to guide you to their contest website. So click here to find out more about the 2005 Nightboat Poetry Prize. They look like a fine operation. Better than fine even.

Wait a minute. Now that I have posted this, does that mean I can't enter?

Here I am

I made it to DC. It's been fun so far. There's lots of work to do here. There's work at work, and there's also work at home -- work I want and need to get done before my time here is through.

I'm working on new poems finally. That's good news. The writer's block is a thing of the past for the present. Hopefully this will continue to be the case. I may start putting new work into Jubilee's Daughters. I may go ahead and use that title for the new book, even if the original project that was Jubilee's Daughters won't comprise the entire book. The project has changed but it hasn't disappeared.

The Baltimore reading is coming up. It's on the 27th of this month at Red Emma's Bookstore and Coffeehouse. Come check it out if you're in the area.
