And it was . . .

The reading last night in Baltimore with the Lucifer Poetics Group was a hell of a lot of fun. I haven't ever read with such a diverse group of poets. I wouldn't call the group eclectic. I would call it a collection of uniqueness. Very cool show.

I did record it. And, provided the recording is good, I will play it on My Vocabulary in the Fall. I'm afraid some parts might have been too quiet. If that's the case, I will sadly have to cut them out. But I think the mic should have picked up pretty much everything. I hope it did.

I also have talked to Reb Livingston about putting together a show with the poets from the new Bedside Guide to No Tell Motel. A show of sexy poems and sexy music. Not a bad idea. Maybe we should shoot for V Day for that one.

In other poetry news, I've finally rearranged my manuscript. I hope this is the last major rearranging I have to do. I still have a couple people who are looking at the new arrangement and I'm waiting for their feedback, but I don't think the changes they'll recommend will be too drastic. I think the book reads better than it ever has before. For once I feel like I can leave it alone and just send it out.

And by the way, Canada . . . WTF?

Almost time

Just an hour or so left before I should probably go catch the metro and head toward where I am getting picked up for the ride to Baltimore. And just a few hours after that -- 7:00pm to be annoyingly precise -- the reading at Red Emma's in Baltimore begins. It should be fun. How many times over the last couple weeks have I said, "It should be fun." I feel like I say that a lot lately. Well. It should be.

Imagine that (reposted hours later with extra features)

It was also used for knapping flints.

And here's a little something to help you get into the mood. I recommend Black Hole Sun.

Write me a poem about it all and I'll kiss your white forelock
